Does GaugeReel work with Cycliq Fly12 and Fly6 segment files?

Yes. Cycliq cameras record a ride as numbered segment files (CYQ_0101.MP4, CYQ_0102.MP4). Select Cycliq in the upload wizard, upload all the segments from your ride, and GaugeReel stitches them, trims the small overlaps between files, and aligns each segment to your Strava ride automatically, with no manual sync and no desktop editor.

What activity data can I overlay on my video?

GaugeReel overlays heart-rate zones, speed in km/h, cadence, cumulative distance, duration, GPS position on a route map, and elevation. Data is imported directly from your Strava account via a secure OAuth connection.

Do I need to manually sync my activity and footage?

No. GaugeReel uses the camera's UTC timestamp and GPS cross-correlation to automatically align your activity data with your video footage. There is no manual timestamp matching required.

What video resolution does GaugeReel output?

Free tier outputs 720p video with a watermark. Pro subscribers get 720p output, with 1080p on request. Pay-per-video users receive 720p output without a watermark.

How does GaugeReel get my activity data?

GaugeReel connects to your Strava account using secure OAuth. You authorize read access to your own activities, and GaugeReel imports the telemetry streams (heart rate, speed, cadence, GPS, elevation) for the specific activity you select. No data is shared between users.

Do I need a power meter to add power to my video?

No. Without a power meter, GaugeReel shows an estimate computed from your speed, the gradient and your weight, clearly labeled "Power (est.)". With a power meter, it shows your real measured watts. The estimate is reliable on climbs and rougher on flats and in wind.

How does GaugeReel know which Strava activity matches my video?

GaugeReel reads the recording timestamp inside your video file (GPS-locked UTC on GoPro, phone-synced camera clock on DJI Action and Cycliq) and automatically selects the Strava activity whose time window contains it, then pre-selects it for you.

I recorded with two devices. Which one does GaugeReel use?

If both a watch and a bike computer recorded the ride, GaugeReel flags both matching activities and defaults to the richer one, preferring the activity with power data, then the longer recording. You can override the choice.

What telemetry does the overlay show?

Depending on your activity: GPS route map, speed in km/h, heart rate zones, cadence, power (real or estimated), gradient, cumulative distance, duration and elevation. Each activity shows badges for the sensors it contains before you render; those badges describe the activity, not the overlay.

Can I rename my rendered video?

Yes. The job page has an editable title that becomes the download filename and appears on your dashboard.

How long does processing take?

A 20 minute clip usually finishes in about 40 minutes at 720p. Longer clips and 1080p take proportionally longer.
